Andra Day and Andi Matichak
Cassandra Monique Batie also known as Andra is a American R&B and soul singer/songwriter. She's been awarded a Grammy Award and Children's and Family Emmy Award. Golden Globe Award as well as Academy Award nominations are also among her accolades. Andra is not just an old-fashioned R&B singer, her gospel jazz roots and blues is presented in a manner that is both effortless and elegant. The album she released her debut, Cheers To The Autumn (2015) is an instant record in the hiphop/R&B genre that earned her a host of Grammy and Academy Award nominations. Stand Up for Something (2017) Her contribution to Marshall's soundtrack was awarded both of these awards. Amen, the singles Make Your Troubles Away and The United States Versus Billie Holiday all have singles that are creating anticipation ahead of the release of her new album. Andra has been born Cassandra Monique Batie on Edmonds Washington. After growing up in San Diego and surrounding areas her first performance was at church, and then enrolled in the School of Creative and Performing Arts. As she grew up, Day listened to contemporary R&B music, and later pop. Her heart was always attracted to traditional jazz and soul singers. Kai Millard Morris was able to see a live performance that Day delivered and later took Day's songs home with her. Motown famous Adrian Gurvitz connected Day and the veteran music businessman. Day's fan base on YouTube grew fast after she formed a team together with Gurvitz, Jeffrey Evans and Buskin. She later got a major label contract to Warner Bros. DJs started playing it at the radio. In 2015, after signing with Warner Bros. Records she began work on her debut album, Cheers To The Fall featuring Adrian Gurvitz. It featured the track Rise Up which has become an international song of the social justice movement. Day received two Grammy nominations including Best R&B Album. The United States Versus Billie Holiday is her second album which was released in 2019. It was an album that was conceptually based on Billie Holiday's life. That same year she starred in a biopic on Holiday's life, The United States vs. Billie Holiday (2021). Andi Mathichak was born and raised in the US. She began her career in television shows like Orange Is the New Black, 666 Park Avenue and Blue Bloods. Her first film role was in the role of Allyson in the horror show Halloween. Andi Matichak, an American actress born the 03rd of May, 1994. She was born in Framingham Massachusetts in the United States.
